At The Lighthouse with the Donald Dean Quartet

Last weekend I was the featured singer with the Donald Dean Jazz Quintet at the famous Lighthouse Cafe in Hermosa Beach.

Donald is a good friend of mine, a wonderful person and veteran jazz drummer, and has played on both of my CDs.

The Lighthouse Cafe has an amazing history with a lot prominent jazz musicians having played there in the ’50s and ’60s, amongst whom Chet Baker and Miles Davis.

It’s pretty laid back these days, with a relaxed jazz brunch on Sundays and another jazz concert on Wednesday night. A cool gig.
